Definition Of Cohesion

My definition of cohesion is when the parts of the system are grouped the group consists of items that are related, they all have a relationship with each other. 

 

This could be that they are all part of the same thing, e.g. all parts of a car (wheel, gear stick etc) or they are all related to a single function, e.g. they are all related to the function of making a booking at a restaurant, e.g. time of booking, how many diners, day of booking etc.
